Welcome to the Catherine Pooler Designs, Tropical Treasures Blog Hop. You should have arrived from the amazing Susan Powell.
There is something for everyone in the Tropical Treasures Release. The release is composed of five bundles: Tropical Treasures Collection, Wild & Lovely Bundle, Cabana Prints Bundle, Tropical Accents Bundle and Mother’s Day Bundle. Items from the Stamp of Approval, Tropically Yours Collection are also now available.
Today I am focusing on Pineapples and Smiles and Cabana Prints Patterned Paper. I have four cards to share with you =)
Welcome / Sending Smiles
The Cabana Prints Patterned Paper is gorgeous and makes for amazing die-cut pineapples. I die-cut several pineapples and used them to create my first three cards.

There are several prints and colors in this card. I love how it came together. Start by using the Wonky Triangle Stencil to partially ink blend on white cardstock and trim to 3-3/4″ x 5″. The colors used to ink blend are: Garden Party, Grass Skirt and Skylight. Stamp the sentiment from the Pineapples and Smiles Stamp Set using Grass Skirt ink and then clear heat emboss. Trim a piece of the striped patterned paper to 4″ x 5-1/4″. Attach twine bow to die-cut pineapple. Now it is time to assemble your card. The pineapple is attached with foam tape and the other two layers are adhered with liquid adhesive.

This card uses repeat stamping to create added interest. Repeat stamp Sending Smiles from the Pineapples and Smiles Stamp Set on a piece of white cardstock and trim to 3-3/4″ x 5″. I used the following colors: Mint to Be, Garden Party and Fiesta Blue. Stamp again on white cardstock using the same colors as ombre’ and trim to use as the sentiment. Attach twine bow to your die-cut pineapple. Trim patterned paper for layering to 4″ x 5-1/4″. Now it is time to assemble your card. Attach the pineapple with foam tape. All other items are attached with liquid adhesive.

This card is super quick and packed full of fun colors. Score an inch from the top and an inch from the bottom on a white cardbase. Stamp sentiment from Pineapples and Smiles Stamp Set using Fiesta Blue ink. Attach twine bow to one of your die-cut pineapples. Now it is time to assemble your card. Simply attach the lower two die-cut pineapples to your cardbase using liquid adhesive and the top pineapple using foam adhesive.
Sending Smiles

For my final card of the day, I used the border strip found in Pineapple and Smiles Stamp Set to create a repeat pattern. Use a stamp platform to repeat stamp the border on white cardstock and trim to 3-3/4″ x 5″. I used the following colors: Rose Petals, Grass Skirt, Stone Blue, Lime Rickey, Skylight and Garden Party. Trim a piece of midnight cardstock to 4″ x 5-1/4″. Use Circles Dies to die-cut a midnight circle and a smaller white circle. Also die-cut a piece of striped patterned paper with the smaller circle. Using midnight ink, stamp the sentiment from the Pineapples and Smiles Stamp Set onto the white die-cut circle. Trim patterned paper die-cut circle and adhere above and below the stamped sentiment. Now it is time to assemble your card. The sentiment embellishment is adhered with foam tape. All other items are adhered with liquid adhesive.
Thank you for spending some time with me. Enjoy the rest of the hop =) Tracie
