Hello Everyone! Welcome to Day 2 of the Catherine Pooler Designs All That Jazz Blog Hop. This release is packed full of goodness. I used several of the new products today. There is more! The items from the Counting Blessings Stamp of Approval Collection will also be available on March 20th. All of these items work so well together. Now time for some more inspiration.
GRATEFUL HEART
My first card uses the beautiful new Grateful Heart stamp set and coordinating dies, along with the new Doin’ the Polka background stamp, amazing new vellum and the new Sand Dunes cardstock. This was the first card I made when I received my design team goodies. It may actually be my “favorite” too. It all started with making several heat embossed background panels. I then wanted to color some of the pretty flowers with Copics. It was after the coloring that I put the rest of the elements together. My original plan was to use one of the other polka dot backgrounds. I didn’t like the bright white polka dots until I decided to tone it down a bit by adding the sentiment to vellum.
For the copic coloring I used the following markers: Leaves YG21, YG03, YG25, G99 and Flowers Y13, R11, R21, R43. This card has a bit of dimension. There is fun foam added to the background panel and foam tape to the remaining elements. The sentiment is stamped in versafine onyx black and clear heat embossed. I also wanted to make sure to point out that the Catherine Pooler dies line up so easy making die-cutting a breeze. The new vellum is also high quality and nice to work with.
BEST YOU
My second card uses the following new All That Jazz products: Square Dance Stencil, Black Tie Gala Patterned Paper and vellum along with the following products from the Counting Blessings SOA Collection: Bloomin’ Bouquet Stamps and Coordinating Dies and Tags, Etc. Dies. One of the reasons I was drawn to Catherine Pooler’s products a couple of years ago is because they all just work so well together.
I used the stencil to dry emboss the background. To me, I like the results just as well as when using an embossing folder. The tag is cut out twice using vellum and patterned paper. This was so I could heat emboss the sentiment on the vellum. The flower is the only item that is adhered with dimensional tape. I also bent the leaves and flower to add a little more character. The acrylic piece in the center is a generic embellishment I had in my stash. This card is a little bit different for me, but I do like how it came together. (You do NOT want to miss out on the patterned paper. I am so, so impressed with the quality.)
YOU ARE WONDERFUL
For my third card I used the following new All That Jazz products: Square Dance Stencil and Wonderful Die along with the following products from the Counting Blessings SOA Collection: Autumn Blessing Stamps and All That Jazz Ink.
For the raised panel I created a design using the Square Dance Stencil, All That Jazz Ink and an ink blending tool. I applied ink once. Readjusted the stencil and applied another layer of ink. I only used one ink color. You can see the different shades of color created simply by moving the stencil. The wonderful die was cut two times in midnight cardstock, adhered together and then heat embossed with wanderlust embossing powder. You are is white heat embossed on a scrap piece of the midnight cardstock. I thought about adding more to this card, but decided to let the stenciled design and embossed sentiment shine.
GOOD THINGS
Thank you for sticking with me. I will make this one quick. I used the following new All That Jazz products: Grateful Heart Stamps and Sand Dunes Cardstock along with the following products from the Counting Blessings SOA Collection: Good Things Stamps, Tags, Etc. Dies and All That Jazz Ink. I created these tags to take to our local library to place in a couple of books. I do things like this in hopes to brighten someone’s day. The pink hearts are colored by applying party dress ink directly to white cardstock. This release has a lot of good options to create all sorts of fun tags.

There are three days of blog hops. 5 random winners will be chosen to receive two free ink pads (and free shipping!) Winners will be announced Friday, March 23. Comment at each stop in the hop on all three days to increase your chances to win. Good luck.
